The mission for the establishment of a state University in Bondoc Peninsula was realized with the passage of Republic Act.7645 otherwisw known as the General Appropriation Act of 1991 by providing an initial capital outlay of 5,000,000.00 for the branch of PUP Mulanay. Inspired with the aim of bringing education closer to the masses particularly to the young men and women of depressed and far-filing-areas of Bondoc Peninsula, then Mayor Mariano A. Morales, Jr. of mulanay, Congressman Bienvenido O. Marquez Jr. EVP Dr. Zenaida A Olonan and PUP President Dr. Nemesio E. Prudente worked hand and hand to have PUP Mulanay.
Though the full support of a business man philanthrophist, Mr. Frank Bocobo, PUP Mulanay hasw risen into a fully educational institution when he donated a land of area of 1 hectare from the school site having a hear for the masses Mr. Bocobo kept on give his contribution in the filed of education by providing an additional 2 hectares of sprauling land for the branch structured expansion.
PUP Mulanay Branch is strategically located along the nation road, a kilometer and a half from the town proper of Mulanay. It's campuses is over looking tayabas bay and Marinduque, island which caters quality education to the nearby Municipalities like Catanauan, San Narciso, San Andress, and San Francisco.
At present, (after five years of operstion 1993-1999) there are one, two, storey building a four rooms bungalow type building consisting of ten rooms enough to accommodate branch officials, employees, and students to take courses kilo Bachelor and Business Teacher Education, Bachelor in Entrepreneural Management, Bachelor in Secondary Education, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Management, Computer Technology and Computer Secretarial.
